Ingredients used in ONION SAMOSA
• Oil - as required.
• Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon.
• Coriander leaves - 1 bunch.
• Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Green chillis - 3 numbers.
• Poha - 1 cup.
• Water - as required.
• Onions - 1 cup.
• Maida - 1 tablespoon.
• Flattened Rice - 1/4 kg
• Turmeric Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
• Raw Mango Powder - 2 tsp
• Garam Masala - 1/2 teaspoon
For Onion samosa filling
Onion thinly sliced – 3/4 cup
Cabbage thinly sliced – 1/2 cup
Green chilies finely chopped – 2
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander leaves – few finely chopped
Poha/aval/flattened rice – 1/2 cup
Salt needed
Oil for deep frying
A small cup of all-purpose and water paste
Method:
1. Take a bowl to add wheat flour, rice flour, salt, 1 teaspoon oil mix well then add water to make a soft dough and rest it for 15minutes.
2. Now in another bowl, take onions chopped,poha, chili powder, cumin powder, green chilies, coriander, chat masala mix well.
3. In a small bowl add 1teaspoon of maida mix with some water and make a paste keep aside.
4. Now take the dough roll like a thin sheet.
5. Now slightly heat the rolled sheets on both sides on a pan.
6. Once chapaties are ready, cut them into a long strip.
7. Now apply maida paste one side of the sheet, make cone stuff the mixture in the center then seal the edges.
8. In a pan add oil to deep fry, first half fry and remove then after 5minutes fry again till golden color.
